Built in 1919 to be used as the Residence of the Crown Prince Hassan Izzuddeen, commissioned by his father Sultan Muhammad Shamsuddeen III. It is now the Official Residence of the President.
Mulee’aage, meaning the “new house of Muli” was built on the site of Mulee’ge, the ancestral home of Shamsuddeen.
It is in very close proximity to the Medhu Ziyaarai, the Friday Mosque, and the Munnaru (Grand Minaret of Malé). It is also within walking distance to Sultan Park and the National Museum
