Hulhumalé is a reclaimed 4km2 (1.5 sq mi) island located near Male’ in order to meet the existing and future housing and commercial development demands of the Greater Male’ Area. It is the fourth largest island in the Maldives.
The island is connected via a causeway to the main airport and the Sinamalé Bridge between Hulhulé and Malé connects all three islands together.
Hulhumale’ is the favorite city for locals weekend getaways, spend time at the beach, and for special dinners.
